2010 Zambezi Expedition reaches Mblizi on Lake Kariba

Warren Willis and Francois Kruger are paddling the Zambezi, reaching the half-way mark, around Lake Kariba. Their latest news reads:
‘We set off from the source in NW Zambia. The section through Angola was approx 480km and took us 11 days including  getting our passports back in Cazombo. It took another 26 days and another 1100km to reach Victoria falls. We are currently on the top of lake Kariba (milibizi) having taken another few days to descend the Batoka gorges.’

Warren and Francois,
I was one of a group of 8 surf ski padlers who met you on Kariba in March this year (we were paddling the length of the Lake – a mere 280 kms, so can never compare with what you did) – and his was on your 42nd day of your epic paddle! Wondeful to hear that you completed your journey safely.
Francois – are you back in Stellenbosch anytime? I’d like to meet up with you if possible, especially as I am a paddler who grew up in Zim, and have paddled/travelled many sections of that river and would llike to know if you would be available to talk to the boys of the Adventure Club here at Paul Roos Gymnasium about your adventure?
Regards, Rob.
